Diversity Awareness Partnership

LTL: Week of Dialogue

Join Diversity Awareness Partnership and others in your community for FREE Listen. Talk. Learn.: Week of Dialogue community sessions, hosted by companies and organizations in our region.

Though it has been a year since Michael Brown’s death and the tensions that began to surface throughout the St. Louis region, Diversity Awareness Partnership continues to provide a space for community members to join and have dialogue around race and unconscious bias. Through the Listen. Talk. Learn. community sessions, our hope is that our community rebuilds by talking to one another, learning more about communities we have limited exposure to, and bridging our divides through awareness and education.

DAP, along with Ameren, Christ Church Cathedral, the Holocaust Museum and Learning Center, Left Bank Books, and the Center for Diversity and Inclusion at Washington University in St. Louis (Danforth Campus), will be hosting a series of LTL sessions throughout the community. Various times and locations are scheduled from Monday through Friday during the first week of August. Any individual or group interested in learning how to navigate difficult dialogue around the topics of race, racism, unconscious bias, and are interested in becoming more aware, is encouraged to register for these trainings.

Attendees will leave the training with the following information:

  • Differences between Debate vs. Dialogue
  • Facilitation Tips and Strategies
  • Strategy for answering difficult and polarizing questions about race, racism, and bias
