Morning Host/Announcer St. Louis Public Radio


St. Louis Public Radio | 90.7 KWMU, St. Louis’ NPR affiliate station, is seeking a dynamic and creative full-time Morning Host to join our team. If you’re looking to apply your on-air hosting, interviewing, and production skills in a creative, agile environment where you can have a significant impact on the future of our public media organization — this is your opportunity.


Responsibilities include hosting our morning drive-time shift that includes NPR's Morning Edition and 1A, recording opens and closes for use on various platforms including NPR One, producing and editing promos, features, and other on-air production that may include preparing for and conducting live or recorded interviews for use during our regionally produced talk show St. Louis on the Air (SLOTA), and possibly serving as back-up host for SLOTA.



  • A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired;
  • At least 2 years of on-air hosting.


  • A bachelor's degree in broadcast, communications or multimedia, specifically;
  • At least 5 years of experience in broadcast or production, with at least 3 years of on-air hosting.
