Responsibilities

Your Role: In this role, you will organize, lead, develop and engage team responsible for Applied & Research SMI Marketing Services (Content, Channel, Analytics). Serve as the central service provider for Segment, Product and Commercial Marketing teams. Develop, Refine and Lead the annual “Marketing Planning Process” to ensure alignment and effectiveness of tactical marketing plans across the business units, segments and commercial regions. Develop and create consistent and effective marketing content and tools, aligned to Life Science messaging and value propositions, to most effectively position and promote our products and solutions with our various customers segments globally. Track effectiveness of marketing mix to meet business objectives and provide guidance on optimal mix for individual campaigns and initiatives. Preferred locations for this position are Boston, MA, St. Louis, MO and Darmstadt, Germany.

You will lead centralized aspects of channel management (trade shows, direct mail, push email, print, web banners, webinars, social media etc.) for SMI-driven campaigns and local commercial-led campaigns, including the maintenance of client contact lists. Maintain central repository of marketing materials that effectively allows global access and awareness to existing content and collateral for deployment in our marketing efforts. Provide customer Insights including market research, customer experience/journey research to support strategy development, innovation and customer experience design. Create Marketing Metrics and Optimization, focusing on leveraging web behaviors and digital KPIs to foster customer individual tracking and targeting. Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI), focusing on analytics to better linking the customer purchasing cycle to specific marketing metrics. Establish robust KPI’s to measure operations (e.g. cost, cycle-time), impact/results (lead generation, booth visits, etc.) of campaign messaging, channels, etc. and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications / Requirements

Who you are: You must hold a BA in relevant discipline. MBA preferred. Have 7+ years combined business and/or company experience in marketing, strategy, PMO, operations or customer-facing roles. Strongly prefer consumer health marketing experience.
• Have a solid grasp of leading edge marketing concepts; integrated and content driven approaches leveraging our digital platform and content channels with value proposition concepts vs. traditional marketing approaches
• Be effective at collaboration, stakeholder management, influencing without direct authority and conflict resolution
• Need to have the ability to transform current processes with focus on integrated and content marketing vs. traditional marketing approaches
• Proven track record of delivering on-time, high-impact results in a matrix environment
• Strong leadership skills and demonstrated success building and leading large, globally dispersed teams
