Benefits Manager Dot Foods

Location: Mount Sterling, IL or Chesterfield, MO
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: Director of Benefits and Compensation

 

Responsibilities

Your Role: Responsible for administering employees' benefits, such as 401K and profit sharing retirement plan, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision plan, wellness program, life insurance plan, disability program, employee assistance program, and voluntary benefits such as accident, critical illness, and identification theft protection.

  • Work with approved vendors and assist in negotiations with vendors that provide employee benefits.
  • Ensure that benefits packages are sent to employees and benefits enrollment is completed in a timely manner and comply with relevant government rules and regulations.
  • Execute benefits documentation while consulting with the legal department.
  • Ensure compliance with provisions of regulations such as the Affordable Care Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA), and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA)
  • Daily interaction with employees to help them understand and utilize their benefits most effectively.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.

Role Specifics:

  • Travel: Overnight travel on occasion. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

Qualifications / Requirements

We Need You To Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Dot Experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with varying audiences
  • Strong customer service focus to promptly and effectively respond to needs of employees

We’d Like You To Have:

  • 3 years of experience in HR or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Prior successful leadership experience
