Our June 7, 2017 Diversity Summit was a great success, thanks to the thoughtful and engaging diversity leaders assembled there. The Annual Diversity Summit is one of the region’s top diversity and inclusion professional development events. This year, the keynote speaker was Peggy McIntosh, Ph.D., Senior Research Scientist and Former Associate Director of the Wellesley Centers for Women, and Founder of the National SEED Project (Seeking Educational Equity & Diversity). Dr. McIntosh’s keynote address built on her seminal work, White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack.
In addition to the keynote presentation, breakout sessions, resource fair, and networking at meals and breaks, Summit participants shared best practices and action steps to help our region become more inclusive.
