Diverse-City Art Competition

Congratulations to our Art Competition Winners!

The 2017 Diverse-City Art Competition student artists used their creative abilities and talents to express their own insight of diversity and inclusion in the Columbia Community. Students age K – 12 from throughout the region submitted their original work for this spring’s competition. DAP – Columbia thanks all the students, parents, and teachers who participated this year! K-2nd Grade:

Eligibility

All students grades Kindergarten to 12th grade residing in Columbia community. Students compete in the following categories: K-2nd grade, 3rd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, 9th-12th grade.

Review Process

A panel of judges will evaluate entries on the basis of theme interpretation, composition, and originality. The artist’ names and schools are kept confidential until judging is complete. Competition winner’s artwork will be featured at Columbia’s Annual Art in the Park Festival in June as well as a traveling exhibit.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category.

Submissions: February 1 – April 13  2017.
